Common .Exe Application Errors and How to Figure Them Out!

.EXE Application errors like Computer Viruses or other malware, conflicting software, faulty hardware (bad RAM or bad sectors in HDD, malformed registry entries and more. We should pinpoint the problem, what kind of error message that appeared? What software did you install before the error message are you getting? Or what kind of changes did you make to the system settings?

Application Error: 0x0c175969 referenced memory at 0x0c405800; the memory could not be read or written. As the message indicates, your PC tried to read or write a certain memory address but it failed. It usually means a faulty or unstable; due to over clock RAM or bad sectors in your HDD. It is advised to use Windows CheckDisk; Click Start, Run and type chkdsk in the open field. Do errors scan and check for viruses.

0x0000142, the application failed to initialize properly. Click on OK to terminate the application. If the program runs fine before, it could indicate corrupted data or malware infection. Check you computer for any viruses and spyware, and do an error scan. Use windows Compatibility Mode or re-download the corrupted files; once the program never started properly.

These are only examples and there are a lot of error codes and be generated by any software. The best tips are using a firewall, an anti-virus and a spyware remover, update frequently; and always backup important data through DVD or USB flash drive.
