1. Chassis - This is what you will be building your custom motorcycle around and is one of the most expensive items to be included in the kits. There is a wide array of designs to select from and which one you choose will depend on what riding position you are after.

2. Engine - Another crucial component in the kit as this is what makes the motorcycle travel along the road. Again there is a wide array of styles and sizes to select from and what you get will depend on how you want the bike to look. You can either go for a Panhead, Shovelhead or Knucklehead style engine which come in sizes starting at around 80 inches and going up to as much as 145 inches.

3. Carburetors - This is another crucial part of making sure that you have the right one for the cables you are using are vital. But with a complete motorcycle kit this is something that you need not worry about as the supplier will have ensured that it is.

4. Drag Pipes - It is important to ensure that yours match the style of bike you are wishing to build and come with heat shields. Although the pipes may look much nicer without the shields on them they do actually protect you.

5. Seat - Again when you are selecting your complete motorcycle kits you will have a wide selection of seats to choose from. Not only will there be different styles to consider but also they come in different materials and colors. Ideally you need one that not only goes with the design of the motorcycle you are building but which will be comfortable to sit on when riding the machine.

6. Gas Tank - This is something that will reflect the style of bike that you are intending to build and again there are many different styles to select from.
